St. Mary’s Youth Ministry is led by a full-time youth minister with spiritual guidance from clergy and supported by adult volunteers.

We invite you to take a look at the many faith, fellowship, and formation opportunities for your youth.
4th/5th Grade Youth Group
2nd and 4th Sundays
4:00-5:00pm
During the school year, children in 4th and 5th grades are invited to participate in an evening gatherings to prepare for them the next steps in their faith journey. Each evening we provide snacks along with activities and games that encourage children to deepen and widen their faith.

Jr. High Girls and Guys meet the 1st Wednesday of the month at St. Marys. On the 3rd Wednesday, Jr. High Girls meet at a lay leader’s home for fellowship, crafts and worship, while Jr. High Guys meet at St. Mary’s for food, fellowship and discussion. Youth Group meets September to May.

Community Service & Outreach
From bagging chicken at Arlington Food Assistance Center on to volunteering in April on National Rebuilding Together Day, St. Mary’s Youth can get involved with local outreach ministry throughout the year to build relationships with our neighbors and each other.
Confirmation Prep Classes
Confirmation is a personal response to the Holy Spirit’s presence in one’s life. Each Spring, students in 8th-grade and high school are invited to embark on a spiritual journey complete with retreats, stories, and conversations guiding them deeper into the Episcopal tradition and the pillars of the one, holy catholic and apostolic Church. The following February, our confirmands are blessed by our Bishop. Questions? Email Sue.Cromer@StMarysArlington.org.
High School June Mission Trip
High School Youth travel with chaperones for a week-long mission experience. Past mission destinations have included Illinois to engage in street ministry in Chicago, Texas for Hurricane Harvey relief in the Houston suburbs, and a week in Kentucky with Appalachia Service Project to help the poor in rural towns weatherize their homes.

Volunteering
St. Mary’s Children’s Formation is run by a full-time staff member and overseen by clergy. We rely on parent and parishioner volunteers to ensure a fun and safe environment for our children. If you have questions about Children’s Formation and volunteering to help please contact or Allison Pace, Family Formation Minister, Jackie.Ly@StMarysarlington.org.
