On Tuesdays at noon in the chapel, St. Mary’s staff members lead a ten-minute service of Noonday Prayer. This service, taken from the Book of Common Prayer, offers a brief scripture reading and the opportunity to pray for the needs of our church and our world.
On Wednesday mornings at 6:30 a.m. in the chapel, we celebrate the Holy Eucharist. The service generally lasts half an hour, concluding in time for participants to return to their family routines or to begin their morning commutes. Some members of the congregation, however, enjoy lingering at the church for coffee and conversation.
On Thursday mornings at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel, we celebrate the Holy Eucharist with healing. This service includes time for individual prayer with a priest at the altar, as well as laying on of hands and anointing with oil for healing of one’s self or another. Worship concludes between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m.
Periodically, special Eucharistic services are announced for major feast days. Sometimes, these services will take the place of one of our usual weekday liturgies; other times, they will be specially scheduled for a Friday or Saturday morning. Please consult the church calendar for more details.
