Gregory Stuart, baritone section leader and handbell director at St. Mary's, was a soloist in two major premieres of Paul Leavitt's Requiem in 2011, in Paris, France, and in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City. He sang the world premiere of the work and recorded it in 2009. In 2010, he sang baritone solos in the world premiere of Paul Leavitt's Cantata Emmanuel.. He sang with The Symphony Orchestra of Arlington in January and along with Irina Varamesova and Paul Leavitt, he gave a concert for the Society of the Cincinnati Concert Series at the Larz Anderson House in Dupont Circle in February 2012. He recently appeared in Loudon Lyric Opera's production of The Merry Widow. In opera, he has sung roles with Pittsburgh Opera, Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh Repertory Opera Theatre of Washington and with Ithaca Opera. Mr. Stuart has performed numerous recitals and has been a concert soloist with the Syracuse Camerata, Ithaca Community Chorus, Church of the Reformation and Church of the Ascension & St. Agnes. He is also a Shakespearean actor, teaches singing, drama, Yoga and Pilates.

7:30 p.m. Guest Choir Concert: The Choir School at St. Peter's, Charlotte
Ben Outen, Director; Touring Choir and Master Singers singing with St. Mary's Youth Choirs
St. Mary’s Boys & Girls Choir will join this fine choir for several numbers on their concert at St. Mary’s. 54 youth choristers will sing a program of sacred choral music from the English cathedral tradition and arrangements of popular music. The Choir School is a community choir in residence at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and tours regularly across the United States and Britain. A reception will follow the concert.
